Jennifer Tilly was born on the streets of Los Angeles, California on September 16, 1958. The birth circumstances were deplorable. Her mother, who was a failing schoolteacher and actor, made a living selling automobiles, while her father worked as an automobile salesman. Jennifer is the third of her family's four children often accompanied her mother to her theater performances and was very impressed with her. Jennifer's parents separated after she turned five. Jennifer was raised in British Columbia by her mother who moved there with her siblings. Jennifer was never the studious type, despite the fact she had a talent for art when she was a kid. When she was a kid Jennifer was frequently targeted by bullies in Canadian schools. Her interest in theater began to fade in high school she started participating in plays alongside her mother.
